Spooktacular Halloween Pumpkin Walk
Regional Parks invites you to bring a carved pumpkin, a flashlight and a donation for the Westside Community Foodbank to the Spooktacular Halloween Pumpkin Walk at the Gellatly Nut Farm Regional Park. The fun, family event goes Sunday, October 28 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The park is located at 2375 Whitworth Road in West Kelowna, just off Gellatly Road.
Your carved pumpkins can be dropped off on Sunday, October 28 between 3:00 p.m. and 5:00 p.m. Please remember to bring an LED tea light candle or similar device to light your pumpkin. The pumpkins will be lit and placed alongside the trails in the historic nut orchard. Then from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., stroll the paths and view the display of lighted, carved pumpkins. Cast your vote for the best pumpkin and drop off a donation to the food bank. Hot drinks will also be available and remember to wear your Halloween costume!
Last year there were over 120 glowing, carved pumpkins to view! Prizes will be awarded to the most original, scariest, cutest and funniest pumpkins. There are also categories for pumpkins submitted by local businesses and schools.
