Finally, the snow is melting and the days are getting longer! There’s no better time to re-energise and revitalise by registering for a spring recreation program in the City of West Kelowna.
The 80-page Spring 2018 Recreation Guide offers 100's of programs for people of all ages and abilities covering a wide range of interests from Art to Zumba. Registered classes and drop in programs are offered at city and school district facilities, stretching from Glenrosa to Rose Valley, including George Pringle Elementary, Jim Lind Arena, Johnson Bentley Memorial Aquatic Centre, Lakeview Heights Community Hall, Mar Jok Elementary, Mt. Boucherie Secondary, Royal LePage Place, Webber Road Community Centre, Westbank Lions Community Centre, the Westside Seniors Centre, and the Westside Youth Centre.
The new guide also includes a section dedicated to full and part-day spring and summer break camps. Parents can quickly check out camps like Dragon’s Den, Evolve Scooter and Skateboard and XploreSportz on Pages 5 and 6 and then get registration details on Page 7.
Register for most programs starting Monday, March 5; register for swim lessons March 14.
The guide also provides a list of hockey and skating programs being offered at Jim Lind Arena and Royal LePage Place over Spring Break including events on Good Friday, March 30, Easter Sunday, April 1 and Easter Monday, April 2. And be sure to hop on over to the Easter Egg Scramble at Memorial Park on Sunday, April 1 from 12 to 2 p.m.
Art Enthusiasts can take in a showcase of local artists on Saturday April 14 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday April 15 from 11 to 3 at the Westbank Lions Community Centre.
