NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

NOTICE is hereby given that a Public Hearing will be held Tuesday, February 28 at 6:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers of the City of West Kelowna, 2760 Cameron Road West Kelowna, BC to consider:

“OFFICIAL COMMUNITY PLAN AMENDMENT BYLAW NO. 100.44” AND

“ZONING AMENDMENT Bylaw No. 154.45

Legal Description:   

The most northerly 40 chains of DL 2045, ODYD, Except Plans H18375, KAP54203, KAP55424, KAP66235, KAP68394, KAP70127, KAP72237, KAP72629, KAP74009, KAP74033, KAP77451, KAP82957, KAP89461, EPP42072 and EPP19310; District Lot 4227, ODYD, Except Plans H18375, KAP82957, KAP89461, EPP42072 and EPP19310 and Lot A, DL 2688, ODYD, Plan KAP64963

Purpose:                 The proposed development represents the last phases (phases 5-7) of the Vineyard Estates neighbourhood development. The proposed Official Community Plan amendments include single family and duplex housing types, and parks and natural areas.  See the attached Schedule ‘A’ of Bylaw No. 100.44.  The proposed Zoning amendments are from Rural Residential Large Parcel zone and Rural Resource Zone to Single Detached Residential Zone, Duplex Zone and Parks and Open Space Zone. See Schedule A of Bylaw No. 0154.45.

Copies of the bylaw and related materials may be reviewed at Municipal Hall, 8:30 to 4:30 p.m., Monday to Friday, excluding statutory holidays, up to and including February 28, 2017.NewsAdMap

HOW TO MAKE A SUBMISSION

All persons who believe their interest in property is affected by this proposal may speak at the public hearing or provide a written submission for Council consideration.  Written submissions may be delivered in person at Municipal Hall, or sent by mail, email, or fax per the contact information given with this notice.  All submissions must be made Attn:  City Clerk and received by 4 p.m. on February 27, 2017. 

Submissions should reference the bylaw number in the subject line and include your name and the civic address or legal description of the land affected by the proposal.  Please be advised that all submissions, including the names of authors will become part of the public record.  The author’s phone number and email address are not relevant and should not be included in the correspondence if the writer does not wish his or her personal information disclosed. 

Any written submission received after the 4 p.m. deadline on February 27 will not be circulated to Council; however, submissions received after 4 p.m. will be available for viewing in the Public Hearing binder.

Please Note that Council cannot receive submissions after the conclusion of the Public Hearing.
