Water Management & Strategy

The Okanagan Valley would appear to have an  endless supply of water, given the many lakes and streams that dot region's landscape. In reality, water in the Okanagan is a precious commodity, which must be used wisely and managed strategically. Factors which diminish the valley's water supply include:

  • Climate change
  • Rapid growth
  • The region's semiarid climate
