Neighbourhood Learning Centre - Rose Valley

Mar Jok Elementary School

In October 2011 British Columbia's Ministry of Education announced support for the construction of a new elementary school on a vacant lot at Rosewood Drive and McDougall Road in West Kelowna:

The construction of a school on this site presented an opportunity to develop community amenities within the new educational facility through the education ministry's Neighbourhood Learning Centre program. The City of West Kelowna and School District No. 23 (Central Okanagan) gauged residents' and stakeholders' opinions and explored ideas to discover what community services and programs were appropriate for a Neighbourhood Learning Centre at Mar Jok Elementary School.
