JBMAC Upgrades

Structural Improvements
The current Capital Plan recommends the following Phase 3 upgrades in 2014, subject to Council approval:
  • Exterior and interior door replacement
  • High efficiency lighting installation
  • Interior painting

Past Upgrades
Phase 2
At the August 2, 2013 meeting, Council decided to proceed with $414,444 in structural upgrades at Johnson Bentley Memorial Aquatic Centre (JBMAC). Read the report from this council meeting (PDF).

Phase 2 works were completed in October 2013 and included:
  • Construction of a new front entrance
  • Landscaping improvements including a new patio and trellis
  • Seismic upgrades
JBMAC celebrated its 25 anniversary in October 2013, and an official opening of the improvements was held in conjunction with the 25th anniversary celebration.

Phase 1

Phase 1 was completed in 2012 and included:
  • Installation of a new high efficiency heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) system.
